Sony unveils its next-gen box
Sony has just revealed the new PlayStation 4 hardware during its pre-E3 press briefing.
Revealed on stage by Andrew House, the console was shown in both vertical and horizontal configurations.
Not unlike the Xbox One, it takes the form of a simple set-top box-like unit with both matte and gloss finishes. In pictures it appears to be a more compact unit than its Xbox rival.
Both the PS4's DualShock 4 controller and PlayStation Eye peripherals were previously revealed during Sony's PS4 event in February.
